A genuinely terrific market, albeit with prices that have to curl the hair of even the homogeneously rich and WASP-y crowd that patronizes it.
One of the best farm stands and markets I have ever been too. All the prepared foods are amazing and the bake goods are better.
Awesome place for produce and pre-made food goods. Guacamole alone gets 6 stars! & the baked goods are beyond dangerously delicious.
Jams and spreads are very tasty, and frankly the best I've ever had. If it wasn't for the super high prices and sometimes rather inattentive staff, I would have given 5 stars. I guess you get what you pay for, and they really do have amazing products that I haven't been able to match anywhere else.
Oh, I ate too much of the pie from Round Swamp Farm! Now there isn't enough left for breakfast. I'll have to go back and buy another one. Seriously, they make the best pies in East Hampton. In fact all their prepared food is excellent. The place is always crowded, but the teamwork by all the staff keeps the people flowing, so you never feel like you're waiting. Get into what appears to be a long checkout line, and someone is there to help you put you items on the counter, plastic bag them so they don't leak, and by the time they are done, you're at the front of the checkout line. I'm coming back, and so should you.
