Wide book selection and neat store. Loved the wooden shelves.

It is definitely not a B&N type store where you can sit and test read a few book while sipping your coffee but over all very nice.

The staff did not help, didn't seem to care that they were in the display, or help to determine the reading level of the client.

A nice quaint book store on the main strip. They seem to have all the latest reads available if you forget to bring your beach book down with you. They also have guest signings as Candice Bergin was going to be there the next day to sign her book.

I looked at a few books and was never approached. The cashier made himself look busy and ignored all the customers.

What ever happened to entering a book store on a holiday weekend afternoon and browsing the selections that the store has to offer? You CAN NOT do this at this book shop. From the moment that I entered the store I was continuously asked if I needed help finding a book. Normally this kind of treatment would not be the worst thing in the world but the staff kept asking me this question and did so in a very rude manner as though they wanted you to just leave if you were not ready to buy something right away. I guess the snobs in the Hamptons just have to be control freaks. I think they need to wake up and relax a bit. If they want to live with all the cool people in NYC they should just move there. At least then they would have the right to act like they are better than everyone else. Skip this store and find a Borders or Barnes and Noble. At least you won't be harassed by middle aged fuddy duddies.

Walking down Main St, the bookhampton was gearing up for presenting candiceBergen book for the holiday weekend. I saw a young boy standing with his dad in the window, looking for a book.

Great selection, helpful knowledgeable staff, beautiful space.
